Both Dr. Soren and Dan advised me to stay home and get better this weekend but that meant missing the trip to Pompeii and Paestum. I didn’t really want to do that so I still set my alarm for 4:30am since the bus left at 5:30am. The moment my alarm went off, I knew that I would be unable to make it. My body ached and my nose ran like a fire hose. I fell back to my pillow and crashed until around 10am.
My day has been spent laying around in bed and doing my laundry except for a short excursion out to the grocery store to get some food for the next two days. The one positive about this is that both of my housemates are gone on the trip so I’ll be able to get some restful sleep without any noise.
On Monday, we are scheduled to go to Florence and I do not want to miss that so I’ll be popping Benadryl so that I can sleep the weekend away and get better.
